Media Release:

Costa Navarino is getting ready to welcome its guests once again as of June 19th in its hotels, The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, with new experiences and upgraded services.

Located in the Peloponnese, a low density and low-risk zone as declared by the Greek government, the destination is an ideal holiday choice for this summer, as it combines easy road access from Athens, with spacious and well spread-out facilities and activities at Navarino Dunes, which is set in a total area of 130 hectares.

There are endless opportunities for outdoor activities, an enchanting sandy beach that stretches over 1km overlooking the Ionian Sea, and a choice among 259 villas, suites and rooms with private pools, offering the outmost in privacy and comfort.

Besides the protocols set by the World Health Organization and the Greek Authorities, enhanced measures are applied at Costa Navarino, to ensure that guests and associates feel safe. The hotels will adopt the innovative system developed by Marriott, which sets new standards and specifications for cleanliness and hygiene in hospitality, through its ‘Commitment to Cleanliness’ initiative. Further measures introduced by Costa Navarino, include: a medical and nursing team operating 24/7, temperature measurement for everyone each time they enter the resort, regular molecular tests for associates, hiring of trained staff for sanitization, additional hiring of associates to address the enhanced needs in health and safety.

Thanks to the sprawling beach at Navarino Dunes, swimming will be an exhilarating experience, whereas the pools which were designed and constructed based on the strictest European standards, ensure top water quality and excellent hygiene conditions.

At Costa Navarino, an ideal family destination, children and teenagers will have even more to look forward to this summer, with two new experiences crafted just for them: a fun and original outdoor escape room, and a modern space dedicated to virtual gaming.

As of July, a new program developed by the International Olympic Academy with the aim of bringing children closer to Olympism, will be launched. “Olympic Games” will see the likes of Greek Olympic Medalists, World Champions and Olympic trainers, sharing the values of Olympism and motivating kids to adopt them in their everyday lives, while encouraging them to take part in sports activities.

The rich nature of Messinia and the abundance of activities at Costa Navarino, create the ideal combination for outdoor pursuits suitable for all ages. Bike rides and swimming in the world-famous Voidokilia beach, hiking and private picnics overlooking the sunset while enjoying local delicacies, sailing in crystal-clear waters, diving, windsurfing and kitesurfing, teeing-off at the destination’s awarded golf courses, an abundance of racquet sports, are just some of the reasons to enjoy the great outdoors.

Even the Anazoe Spa treatments create a wonderful opportunity to be in touch with nature, performed in an ideal setting under centuries-old olive trees or at the beach.

All 21 restaurants, cafes and bars at Navarino Dunes, offer an ‘al fresco’ experience and a la carte menus, whereas private dinners set amidst the olive groves or in privatized restaurant areas, create the perfect setting to enjoy local and international cuisine, based on the freshest ingredients sourced from local producers.
